Sisters for Cancer

Krystal, Kendra and Kimberly Speed are three sisters who are using fashion as a means for raising money for breast cancer research, treatment, education and prevention. These sisters' mother, who fought for ten years with breast cancer before losing her life to it, is their inspiration for this second annual Fashion for the Cure.

The event was held at the Arlington Arts Center. Models presented themselves as various colorful and extravagant birds bringing forth the life of the "Night in Paradise" which was the theme of the 'Fashion for the Cure' show this year.

The sisters note that their mother was always giving, upbeat and positive through all she went through and that she inspired them to continue being positive impacts on others and carry on her legacy of love and enduring to the end. The believe "you can turn whatever anger and resentment you have into positive action."
